Styntje Henrietta Rothrock

Styntje H. Rothrock, known as “Henri” to friends and family alike, died on August 14, 2012 in Jupiter, Florida following a brief illness. Henri was born June 16, 1924 in Washington, D.C. to John H. and Rimada Boese. After moving to Leesburg, VA in 1970, she was an ardent volunteer and supporter of the Loudoun Memorial Hospital. She first served as a volunteer “Pink Lady” and then played an active role as a member of the Ladies Board, establishing the Gift Shop in at the "new" Leesburg hospital built off Cornwall Street and establishing the Lights of Love memorial program in 1983. Through her work for the Loudoun Memorial Hospital she formed the enduring friendships that gave her great joy, including her beloved “Lunch Bunch”. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Larkin Rothrock; her sister Johanna Aleida Boese “Jo” Rusbuldt and her brother Hendrick “Henni” Boese. She is survived by her loving daughters, Robin Stephanie Rothrock of Arlington, VA and Mary Rothrock Bessos and husband Michael Bessos of Jupiter, FL. She is also survived by three nieces, one nephew and their respective families. Her family will celebrate her life with a funeral service to be held at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Road Northeast Leesburg, VA 20176 1:00 P.M on Friday, August 24, 2012. A private interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Leesburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ladies Board of Inova Loudoun Hospital.
