Glenn Scott Lockhart, 87, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord at 2:45am on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Glenn was predeceased by his wife Najla Lockhart, and is survived by his sons Steven and Timothy Lockhart; as well as many close friends. Born in Los Angeles, California on February 22, 1925, Glenn lived in Europe, Rhode Island, and finally came to call Alexandria, Virginia his home. Glenn served as a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy aboard the USS Barry DD933. Decommissioned in 1982, she is now a museum ship at the Washington Navy Yard. Following retirement from the Navy, Glenn worked as a consultant in the Defense Sector. A time of visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Colonial Funeral Home - 201 Edwards Ferry Road, NE - Leesburg, VA 20176. His memory will forever be cherished.

A service has been scheduled for July 5, 2012 at Arlington National Cemetery starting at 1:00 p.m.
